Rallies staged against Haniyeh's assassination

Rally started from Fawarah Chowk and ended at Karachi Press Club

Thousands of Karachiites gathered at New MA Jinnah Road to offer funeral prayers in absentia for Hamas leader Ismael Haniyeh on Wednesday.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh Ameer Muhammad Hussain Mehanti led the prayers and addressed the people. JI Karachi Ameer Munem Zafar also addressed the gathering.

Separately, Palestine Foundation Pakistan and Imamia Students Organization Karachi Division staged a rally against the Zionist government of Israel on the martyrdom of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. The rally started from Fawarah Chowk and ended at Karachi Press Club.

"The passing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has left a void that can never be filled," said Engineer Muhammad Sarwat Ejaz Qadri, calling for nationwide protests. Faisal Nadeem, President of Pakistan Markazi Muslim League Sindh and Balochistan stated that the martyrdom of Haniyeh will not weaken the resolve of the Palestinian people.

The leadership of MQM-P stated that his brutal killing in Iran is a strong slap in the face to the international community and self-proclaimed peacekeepers.
