Meghan Markle Hopes Prince Harry Will 'Let Go' of Lawsuits and Find Freedom
Meghan Markle is reportedly concerned about Prince Harry’s ongoing legal battles, wishing that he could release the burden of litigation and find peace. The Duchess of Sussex, who has steadfastly supported her husband, is said to hope that Harry can move beyond these legal issues and focus on the present.
A former employee of the Archewell Foundation shared, “Meghan supports Harry 100 percent, but she wishes he could let go of these lawsuits and be happy. She wants him to be free of all of this.” The source emphasized that Meghan understands Harry’s motivation to fight for their family but wishes for him to live without the constant strain of legal disputes.
Harry has been engaged in several high-profile legal battles, the most pressing of which involves his quest for reinstated security protection. Since losing his Metropolitan Police bodyguards in 2020, Harry has been seeking to restore police protection for himself and his family including his wife Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. His recent legal bid to restore taxpayer-funded security was unsuccessful, although he plans to appeal.
Insiders close to Harry believe that he perceives his father, King Charles III, as having the power to influence the situation. Buckingham Palace has denied this, stating that security matters are managed by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC), not directly by the monarch.
Despite this, Harry has reportedly faced an impasse in communication with Charles, who is said to have stopped responding to Harry’s calls and letters.
A friend of Harry’s described the current situation, noting, “He gets ‘unavailable right now’ messages. This strained communication has added to the rift between Harry and Charles, shifting their interactions from frustration to what has been described as “complete silence.”
The Duke of Sussex’s concern for his family’s safety is heightened by memories of his mother, Princess Diana, and her tragic death in a high-speed car chase. As a father, Harry is determined to prevent any similar tragedy from befalling his own family.
“If the matter of security is resolved, it’s ‘swords down,’” says the friend. “Nothing would give Harry more happiness than to rekindle his bond with his father.” The ongoing family feud underscores the deepening divide between the Duke of Sussex and the British royal family, with hopes for reconciliation appearing increasingly distant.
