Bruce Willis joins family in rare appearance after dementia diagnosis

Bruce Willis makes a rare family appearance as daughter Tallulah shares a heartfelt update on his dementia diagnosis.

Bruce Willis has been seen in a rare family appearance following his diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia. His daughter, Tallulah Willis, shared a heartfelt update on Instagram, posting a photo of Willis with her boyfriend, Justin Acee. "This photo is sunshine on a rainy day for me," Tallulah captioned the image. In the picture, Willis is seen wearing a light red T-shirt, standing close to Justin, who has his arm around the actor.

Fans expressed their support and admiration for Willis and his family. One fan commented, "He is so fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive and loving family. You are all inspiring." Another added, "This made my day so happy to see such a lovely photo of your daddy and your love! Bruce is such a national treasure."

Willis's family has been transparent about his health journey since revealing his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis early in 2023. This followed the initial disclosure of his battle with aphasia. In October, it was reported that Willis is now "not totally verbal" due to his dementia. Glenn Gordon Caron, a film creator who worked with Willis in the 1980s, shared insights with Page Six, stating, "My sense is the first one to three minutes he knows who I am. He's not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader - he didn't want anyone to know that - and he's not reading now. All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he's still Bruce."

Caron added, "When you're with him you know that he's Bruce and you're grateful that he's there, but the joie de vivre is gone."
