Cheema alleges denial of medical treatment
Former governor of Punjab Umar Sarfraz Cheema has complained to an anti-terrorism court (ATC) judge of not being provided appropriate medical treatment by the jail authorities despite a doctor's advice.
During a trial in the ATC, the former governor came to the rostrum and questioned the conduct of the jail authorities who, according him, were reluctant to get him admitted to hospital despite the doctor's advice.
He alleged that despite the court's directions, his medical treatment was being ignored by the jail authorities.
The ATC judge directed the jail authorities to ensure proper medical treatment of Cheema.
