Bushra Bibi faces 15 cases, IHC told

Nominated accused in eleven May 9, four NAB cases

Bushra Bibi, spouse of PTI founder Imran Khan, has been nominated accused in 11 cases pertaining to the May 9 riots, including the General Headquarters (GHQ) attack case, and also faces 4 National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cases.

Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard a plea seeking details of cases against Bushra Bibi across the country. During the hearing, NAB and Rawalpindi Police submitted to the court their reports containing details of the cases against Bushra Bibi.

According to the Rawalpindi Police report, Bushra Bibi has been nominated accused in 11 cases of May 9 vandalism, including the GHQ attack case. The cases include the Army Museum, GHQ Gate 4 attack, the charge of setting ablaze a sensitive Army building in Saddar Cantonment, the attack on the office of a sensitive department on Murree Road and arson attacks in different areas.

As per the report of the NAB prosecutor general, Bushra Bibi is facing four NAB cases, including three in Rawalpindi and one in Lahore.

The court directed Balochistan Police and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to submit their reports with details of cases against Bushra Bibi by Monday.
