Belal Muhammad breaks into pound-for-pound Top 10, shakes up welterweight rankings
Belal Muhammad has stormed into the Top 10 of the pound-for-pound rankings.
The newly-crowned welterweight champion dethroned former titleholder Leon Edwards in the UFC 304 main event in Manchester, shaking up the 170-pound leaderboard.
Edwards, known as “Rocky,” dropped to No. 7 pound-for-pound and No. 1 in the welterweight division.
Meanwhile, interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall made significant strides on the pound-for-pound chart, landing at No. 9 after defeating Curtis Blaydes.
Lightweight star Paddy Pimblett also broke into the Top 15 at 155 pounds by submitting veteran King Green.
They vote on the top fighters in the UFC by weight class and pound-for-pound, with only active fighters eligible.
Champions and interim champions hold the top positions in their divisions and are only voted on for pound-for-pound rankings.
