Tom Holland’s brother featured in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ surprising even Ryan Reynolds
Tom Holland’s brother, Harry Holland, has a surprise role in the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” film, a fact that even caught star Ryan Reynolds off guard. Stunt coordinator and second unit director George Cottle disclosed on Instagram that Harry Holland was part of the stunt team for the highly anticipated superhero movie. "When [Shawn Levy] and [Ryan Reynolds] set the bar so f’ing high, even the stunt team needed a special guest star!!" Cottle wrote in his Instagram story. He added, "It may not [be] the Holland the world wanted, but it was the Holland we all needed!!"
Cottle shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Harry Holland portraying a Deadpool variant in the film, captioning it, “You smashed it my friend,” and used the hashtag #Haroldpool. Ryan Reynolds, surprised by the news, reshared Cottle’s post with the comment: “This is how I find out?!? You tell me?”
Harry Holland is no stranger to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He previously appeared as a bicycle thief in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which starred his brother Tom Holland. Although his scene was cut from the final release, it was included in the extended “Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version.”
“Deadpool & Wolverine,” featuring Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, includes numerous cameos and Easter eggs throughout its 127-minute runtime. Notable appearances include X-Men characters such as Sabretooth, portrayed by Tyler Mane, and Pyro, played by Aaron Stanford, from 20th Century Fox’s previous X-Men films. The movie has made a significant impact at the box office, earning $211 million domestically in its opening weekend, marking the sixth-biggest debut of all time.
