Hulu has announced the official premiere date for its new unscripted series, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”

The series, produced by Jeff Jenkins, will be available for streaming on Friday, September 6, with all six episodes dropping simultaneously.

The series explores a scandal involving a group of Mormon mom influencers, whose involvement in a swinging sex scandal has garnered international attention.

The show's description highlights how the scandal has shaken their sisterhood, putting their faith, friendships, and reputations at risk. The central question is whether the group, known as #MomTok, can survive this turmoil or if they will fall from grace.

Rob Mills, executive vice president of Walt Disney TV unscripted and alternative entertainment, first mentioned “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” in January during a panel at the Realscreen conference in New Orleans.

This isn't Hulu's first foray into the Mormon community; in 2022, the platform aired “Mormon No More.”

The series features notable participants from social media, including Taylor Frankie Paul (@taylorfrankiepaul), Demi Engemann (@demilucymay_), Jennifer Affleck (@jenniferaffleckk), Jessi Ngatikaura (@_justjessiiii), Layla Wessel (@laylaleannetaylor), Mayci Neeley (@maycineeley), Mikayla Mathews (@mikaylamatthews), and Whitney Leavitt (@whitneyleavitt).

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is a collaborative production involving Jeff Jenkins Prods., 3BMG, and Walt Disney Television Alternative. Key executive producers include Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, Brandon Beck, Eric Monsky, Ross Weintraub, Reinout Oerlemans, Danielle Pistotnik, Georgia Berger, and Lisa Filipelli.

Hulu Originals continues to expand its unscripted content, recently renewing “The Kardashians” for an additional twenty episodes.

Season 5 of “The Kardashians,” which premiered on May 23, achieved the highest viewership for an unscripted series premiere this year on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ and Star+ internationally.
