Jennifer Aniston was spotted filming "The Morning Show" in New York City on Sunday, enduring a spray of fake oil.

Photos of the 55-year-old Emmy winner show her character, Alex, navigating what appears to be a staged protest when an unknown person throws greasy black liquid on her.

Wearing a sleeveless white blouse and khaki flared pants, Aniston's outfit was completely ruined as she moved through the agitated crowd.

It’s unclear what the protest was about, though the signs read, “Extinction Revolt.”

The Apple TV+ drama recently received several Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for both Aniston and her co-star, Reese Witherspoon.

"The Morning Show" is set behind the scenes of a fictional news program and is based on Brian Stelter’s book about the morning show wars, "Top of the Morning," which involves Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, and other significant figures in the industry.

“I have so many thoughts … I thought some of it was really interesting, and I think the long-term impact and the serious devastation that results from certain behaviors was quite well represented, or quite well conveyed in that,” Couric said on the podcast “Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino” in April 2020.

“I think Jennifer Aniston is great. … I wish they had made her more charismatic because I think you need a certain ebullience to pull off a show like that,” Couric continued.

The series, now in its fourth season of filming, follows rival anchors Alex and Bradley (Witherspoon) as they tackle real-life events like the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukraine war.

“The Morning Show” has yet to announce a Season 4 premiere date.
