On May 31, soon after Donald Trump was convicted of tax fraud, Angelina Jolie’s father, Jon Voight shared a video sharply criticizing President Joe Biden.

In the video, Voight, sitting in front of an American flag, delivers a barrage of harsh criticisms that are particularly surprising considering his typically soft-spoken demeanor.

“We’re allowing this sick President Biden to give permission for all to steal, cheat, lie and kill,” he says, “and no one is paying the ultimate price for this. We must stop these animals.”

Voight's intense right-wing political views spare no one, including his daughter, whom he believes has been influenced by antisemitic deceit.

A source close to the actress stated, “Angelina wishes him well but does not speak about him publicly.”

He remarks that their political views are, to say the least, very different, and his own beliefs often spark endless debates—particularly now that Trump is gaining momentum.

The actor is a strong supporter of Israel, recently backing its response to Hamas’ October 7 attacks, while Jolie, a long-time refugee advocate, is currently condemning Israel for the deaths of women and children in Gaza.

In a recently published interview with Variety, Voight persistently attacks her Palestinian stance, criticizing it repeatedly as if he were a politician targeting an opponent in a brief campaign ad.

“She has been exposed to propaganda,” he says.

“She’s been influenced by antisemitic people. Angie has a connection to the U.N., and she’s enjoyed speaking out for refugees. But these people are not refugees.”

“I love my daughter — that’s No. 1,” he says.

“Angie, I think she hasn’t been available to this information because in Hollywood people don’t share this kind of stuff,” he says.

“They’re way off. They have no idea what’s going on. It’s a bubble.”

When the interviewer suggested that lacking information might be challenging given Angelina's position, he disagreed. His face flushed, and sweat began to bead on his forehead.

“I love my daughter. I don’t want to fight with my daughter,” he said passionately.

“But the fact is, I think she has been influenced by the U.N. From the beginning, it’s been awful with human rights. They call it human rights, but it’s just anti-Israel bashing.”

“She’s ignorant of what the real stakes are and what the real story is because she’s in the loop of the United Nations.”
