Mastermind behind Khalilur Rehman Qamar’s honey trap arrested

The mastermind behind a honey trap targeting renowned writer and playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar has been arrested, police reported.

Hassan Shah, along with his accomplice Rafiq, was apprehended in Peshawar.

Shah is accused of orchestrating a 12-member gang, which included women, to ensnare Qamar and subsequently release compromising videos of him.

According to police statements, Qamar was lured to a woman's house under false pretenses and recorded.

Shah then allegedly spread the explicit videos online.

Qamar had previously claimed he was kidnapped, citing the incriminating videos as the reason.

Further investigations are ongoing, with Shah and Rafiq currently in custody.

The police have already arrested 12 individuals in connection with the case, including the involved woman.
