Clarification: SM Zafar does not have an agro-farm
Mr S.M.Zafar’s name has been wrongly mentioned as one of the violators of the building rules of CDA in the news report
Apropos a news report “Demolishing structures that sprouted from farmland” published in The Express Tribune’s Islamabad issue of September 7, which mentions the names of leading lawyers, including S.M. Zafar as the violators of agro-farm laws. Mr S.M. Zafar’s name has been wrongly mentioned as one of the violators of the building rules of CDA in the news report. In a statement issued here on Thursday, Mr Zafar said: “I do not own any farmland or plot nor have I constructed any house in Islamabad. My son Barrister Syed Ali Zafar is constructing a farmhouse in Islamabad and has done so after getting the plan duly approved by CDA.” The error is regretted. CE
