Gypsy Rose Blanchard crime scene photos resurface, sparking outrage
Shocking photos from the crime scene where Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s mother, Dee Dee, was murdered have resurfaced on social media, sparking renewed interest and outrage among fans. Gypsy Rose, who was released from prison late last year after serving seven years for the second-degree murder of her mother in 2015, has remained a controversial figure.
Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard was found stabbed 17 times in her Springfield, Missouri home. Her murder followed years of Dee Dee misleading doctors and those around her into believing that Gypsy suffered from chronic medical conditions such as leukemia, asthma, and muscular dystrophy, conditions which required her to use a wheelchair and take daily medication. It was later revealed that Dee Dee suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, now known as Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another (FDIA).
Two days after Dee Dee's body was discovered, Gypsy and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, were arrested in connection with the murder. Godejohn is serving a life sentence for his involvement.
The resurfaced crime scene photos reveal the cluttered and chaotic conditions of the home, with bags, garbage, and personal belongings scattered throughout. One image shows a wheelchair in a bathroom, while another displays a cabinet filled with medication. The home, built by Habitat for Humanity, also had a bed with bloody sheets, which left many social media users horrified.
“The Gypsy rose crime scene pics are disgusting,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added, “F*** I JUST SAW THE GYPSY ROSE CRIME SCENE PICS why did I look.” The amount of medication in the images also drew significant attention. “That’s the obscene amount of meds Dee Dee Blanchard was literally FORCING on a perfectly healthy child. It’s so beyond abusive,” one user commented.
The resurfaced photos have led some to call for Gypsy’s return to prison. “I just seen the Gypsy Rose crime scene pictures... lock her a** back up,” one user demanded.
