Approaching Johar, the fan finally settles on "Hi, uncle," to which a visibly surprised Karan Johar responds, "Did you just call me uncle?" Johar then walks away while the person filming bursts into laughter.

As soon as the video spread on social media, Karan Johar's fans criticized the man for his disrespectful remark, emphasizing that the filmmaker deserves respect, especially while abroad.
