India to host Asia Cup 2025 in T20 format

India will host the 2025 Men's Asia Cup in T20 format, while the 2027 edition in Bangladesh will switch to ODI format

India is set to host the next edition of Men's Asia Cup in 2025, which will feature the T20 format. 

The 2027 edition of the Men’s Asia Cup will switch to the ODI format and will be hosted by Bangladesh. 

Both tournaments will include six teams: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and a sixth team determined through a qualifying event.

The next edition of the Women’s Asia Cup will also be played in the T20 format and is scheduled for 2026.

This information was revealed following the Asian Cricket Council's (ACC) release of an Invitation for Expressions of Interest (IEOI) document on Saturday. 

This document invites interested parties to submit their IEOI for ACC Sponsorship Rights for the period from 2024 to 2027.

The document also mentioned that all details, including schedules, dates, formats, and venues, are tentative and subject to change at the ACC's discretion without any liability.
