Moderate rain likely today, says PMD
There is a possibility of moderate showers and thunderstorms in the city today on Monday and continue till Tuesday, said the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
According to the forecast of the Early Warning Centre of PMD series of powerful monsoon winds are entering Sindh.
The low air pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal in the form of monsoon winds has gradually begun to affect Sindh after dumping rain on Gujarat and Rajasthan in India, PMD said.
Under the influence of this system, the PMD has predicted moderate to heavy rains in the city on Monday and Tuesday with thunder and strong winds. Some suburbs are likely to experience heavy downpour.
For the rest of Sindh, PMD issued forecast of strong winds and thundershowers in Tharparkar, Umar Kot, Badin, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tandwalhiar, Matiari, Thatta, Jamshoro, Dadu, Qamber Shahdadkot, Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, and Sukkur. Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, the city was forecast to be partly cloudy and partly cloudy.
