Snoop Dogg trolled by Simone Biles’ mom for Snubbing a request years ago
During an opening ceremony interview at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Simone Biles’ mother, Nellie Biles, humorously recalled a past encounter with rapper Snoop Dogg that left a lasting impression.
Nellie, speaking with NBC, brought up a 2010 incident in New York City where she and her daughter had asked Snoop for a photo. According to Nellie, despite his initial agreement, the rapper disappeared moments later, leaving them without the picture.
“I will never forget that we met you in Times Square in 2010. And you said—’cause we asked for a picture—two minutes. One, two, and you were gone [laughs],” Nellie said during the interview. Snoop Dogg responded with a laugh as the conversation shifted to other topics. The rapper is currently in Paris serving as a commentator for NBC and Peacock during the Olympics.
In addition to his commentary role, Snoop Dogg had a notable presence at the Games as a torchbearer for the opening ceremony. Reflecting on the experience, Snoop compared it to witnessing Muhammad Ali carry the Olympic flame in 1996, describing the moment as deeply emotional and significant. “It was emotional for all of us to see the champ holding that torch and walking up there,” Snoop said. “This is my own version of it. I don’t want to get too emotional, but I know that this is special. This says a lot about America as far as where we’re at in this world […] I would have never dreamed of anything like this.”
Meanwhile, Simone Biles, who sustained a lower left leg injury during qualifications on Saturday, still managed to deliver a strong performance. Fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on both Snoop Dogg and Simone Biles as the Paris 2024 Olympics continue.
