Alex Rodriguez celebrates 49th birthday in Cannes before heading to Paris for Olympics

Alex Rodriguez marked his 49th birthday with a grand celebration in Cannes, France, on Saturday night.

The former Yankees star, who also celebrated his brother Joe Dunand Sr.'s 60th birthday, was surrounded by family and loved ones for the special occasion.

The festivities took place at the French Riviera hotspot, Medusa, where Rodriguez enjoyed a “huge birthday party” with around 25 guests, according to sources. Joining him were his mother, Lourdes Rodriguez, his daughters Natasha and Ella, as well as his niece and nephews. Rodriguez was also accompanied by his girlfriend, fitness expert Jaclyn Cordeiro.

Social media posts from the evening showed Rodriguez blowing out candles on a birthday cake aboard a yacht, surrounded by family and friends. The former MLB star had been seen earlier with Cordeiro on a yachting trip around the Italian island of Sardinia as part of his annual European summer getaway.

Rodriguez is set to travel to Paris next to support Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who is competing with Team USA in the Olympics. Edwards will be playing alongside NBA legends such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant, as well as rising stars like Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, and Devin Booker.

In recent months, Rodriguez has credited Cordeiro with helping him achieve significant fitness goals. He shared with The Post that he has lost over 30 pounds thanks to her fitness program, which emphasizes a healthier lifestyle. “Everything’s been going good [with us]. Thank God. She’s been a good influence on me,” Rodriguez said. “I’ve been training seven days a week, eliminating a lot of the steak I used to eat, and incorporating 45-minute walks after dinner.”

Rodriguez and Cordeiro went public with their relationship in late 2022, with Rodriguez sharing a photo of the couple with his daughters. The couple had been quietly dating before the announcement.
