Tristan Thompson Throws Star-Studded 18th Birthday Bash for Brother Amari with Ex Khloé Kardashian
Tristan Thompson celebrated his youngest brother, Amari, turning 18 with a memorable birthday party at his Hidden Hills, California home on Saturday.
The event featured a host of celebrity guests, including Thompson’s ex, Khloé Kardashian, who joined in the festivities.
Social media posts shared by both Thompson and Kardashian on Instagram provided a glimpse into the birthday celebration. The party featured a vibrant setup with silver and blue balloons spelling out “Happy Birthday Amari” and a variety of colorful decorations. Guests enjoyed a beautifully arranged fruit platter by Boujie Boards, which included watermelon, kiwi, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, and pineapples, along with a candy and cookie tray.
The outdoor pool area was adorned with a large, circle-shaped cake decorated with green and white icing, complemented by strawberries and blueberries. The setup also included light blue silverware and star-adorned plates and cups.
Amari, who has epilepsy, was surrounded by family and friends. He posed for photos with Tristan and Khloé, as well as with other members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, including Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and several of the Kardashian/Jenner children, Stormi, True, North, Saint, Penelope, Tatum, and Psalm.
Khloé Kardashian shared a heartfelt tribute to Amari on Instagram, expressing her love and admiration for him. “Happy 18th Birthday sweet angel Amari!! I can’t believe you are 18! You have changed our lives in the best possible ways!” Kardashian wrote. “Thank you for being an angel to us all! You are the sweetest, silliest, and most loving young man. I hope you feel how much we love and adore you our sweet angel Amari 💙.”
Tristan Thompson also posted a tribute on his Instagram, celebrating his brother’s milestone. “Happy birthday, Amari! Big number 18! We are so blessed and fortunate for all the blessings that you bring to our lives! You are always a beacon of light! I love you so much and I’m so so blessed to be your older brother,” he wrote.
In February, Tristan Thompson assumed legal guardianship of Amari following the death of their mother, Andrea Thompson, who passed away from a heart attack in January 2023. Tristan filed for temporary guardianship in September 2023, citing that their father, Trevor Thompson, had been absent from Amari’s life since 2014. This legal arrangement allowed Tristan to manage Amari’s finances, including a $103,475 inheritance from their mother, and make decisions regarding his living arrangements and travel.
