Murder, robbery suspect killed

The police claimed to have killed a notorious criminal, Kamal Khan alias Kamala, in an encounter.

According to officials, Kamal was killed in Jandanwala area of Noorpur Thal. He was a resident of Raitri in Bhakkar district.

The officials said Inspector Ahsanullah Khan along with a team from Hayat Shaheed police station exchanged fire with Kamal in the Ratri area, in which he was killed.

Kamala had recently robbed a supply van of a sweetmeat shop on Jandanwala Road and Malik Ziaullah Tarar, the owner of the shop, over facing resistance.

He was suspected of being involved in several cases of murder, attempted murder and robbery, reportedly sowing terror in his area.
