If you thought Coke Studio’s Blockbuster couldn’t get any catchier, think again! The viral hit has taken social media by storm since its release two months ago, with fans creating endless Instagram reels to the snappy tune. But the latest spin on the record comes from across the border.

Indian musician Anshuman Sharma decided to give the song a retro twist—thanks to the magic of Artificial Intelligence. Sharma recreated Blockbuster in a vintage style, featuring vocals by singer Aditya Kalway, which he then transformed into the iconic voice of Mohammed Rafi using AI. The result? A rendition so nostalgic and enchanting that it’s quickly become the latest internet sensation.

Even Xulfi, the mastermind producer behind the original Coke Studio hit, couldn’t contain his amazement. “Never did I ever imagine that I’d be able to hear Mohammed Rafi sing the melody and words that we wrote. It’s truly magic. You guys are magic,” he gushed on social media. Xulfi, who co-composed the song with Umair Butt, Faris Shafi, and Shamroz Butt, was overwhelmed with gratitude, calling the recreation “incredibly done” and an “unseen dream come true.”

The original Blockbuster premiered on May 25 and has already racked up an impressive 26 million views. But with this AI-generated version making waves, it’s clear that the song’s appeal is far from fading.

Adding to the buzz, Saba Hassan, the young star who delivers the unforgettable line oye cutie tenu mein samjharyaan, hun chadd de ve fankariaan, ve marjaanyaan in the music video, has also become a sensation. Social media users are enchanted by her performance, propelling her into the viral spotlight alongside the track.
