Pakistani actor Imran Abbas recently shared a deeply heartfelt Instagram post, urging his followers to value their time with elders. His poignant message is a moving reminder of the importance of cherishing our loved ones.

Abbas writes, “Spend time with your elders, talk to them. One day, they’ll grow silent of their own accord.” A gentle nudge to appreciate the conversations and moments we share with those who have come before us, he notes, “Let them live freely and spend as they like. One day, they’ll leave everything behind for you.”

The actor encourages people to be patient and compassionate with those embracing old age, even when faced with repetitive stories or requests. “Don’t interrupt them, let them express the same things over and over,” he advises. Abbas reflects on the inevitable silence that will come with time, warning that “one day, they’ll turn silent forever and you’ll be starved to hear their voices.”

He goes on to emphasise the irreplaceable value of their prayers and presence, urging followers to “seek their prayers as much as you can because one day, they’ll become mere photos on the wall and your pleas for forgiveness will be futile then.” Abbas also stresses the importance of showing respect and understanding in front of others, reminding “Don’t speak over them in front of others. Let them eat as they wish.”

His message concludes with a stirring reminder of life’s transience: “No matter how many times you mark their death anniversary.” In one such exhibit of respect and admiration that transcends boundaries, Abbas took to IG earlier to share a short, but sweet tribute to legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle.

The actor posted a picture of himself embracing the beloved singer and penned a moving message that garnered attention from fans and followers across both nations. In his Instagram post, Abbas began with a profound acknowledgment of Bhosle’s unparalleled legacy: “Asha Bhosle ji! There was, there is and there will be no one like you.”
