Zulfiqar Ahmed, the owner of a local beverage company who was reportedly abducted in Karachi, has returned home after five days, as reported by Express News.

DIG South Karachi, Asad Raza, confirmed on Sunday that Ahmed's family has verified his safe return to their home in Lahore and reported that they have reestablished contact with him.

Ahmed was allegedly abducted a few days ago from Mauripur Road in Karachi. His family had filed a complaint with the police and approached the Sindh High Court for assistance.

Following a hearing, the Sindh High Court issued notices to the Federal Ministry of Interior, the Sindh Home Department, the IG Sindh, and other relevant authorities.

The petitioner's lawyer stated in court that on July 23, Ahmed had left his Clifton office after a meeting with his friend. They were intercepted by eight individuals in a double-cabin vehicle near Agra Taj Mauripur.

The abductors released his friend after a short distance, who then informed Ahmed's family of the incident. However, there was no information on Ahmed's whereabouts until his recent return.
