JD Vance slams Jennifer Aniston for dragging his 2-year-old daughter into childless cat ladies drama
JD Vance is responding to Jennifer Aniston after she criticized the Republican vice-presidential candidate for his comments about "childless cat ladies" leading the nation and referenced his daughter.
“That’s disgusting because my daughter is 2 years old,” the senator replied to the "Friends" star's comments during his appearance on the Megyn Kelly Show on Friday.
“And second of all, if she had fertility problems, as I said in that speech, I would try everything I could to try to help her because I believe families and babies are a good thing,” he added.
Aniston, 55, who has previously shared her fertility struggles, targeted the “Hillbilly Elegy” author on social media earlier this week after his 2021 comments resurfaced online.
“All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day,” she stated on her Instagram stories, which included a tweet displaying the politician’s remarks.
“I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”
Vance, who was recently selected as former President Donald Trump’s running mate, previously referred to democratic politicians such as Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pete Buttigieg as “people without children” seeking to dominate the “entire future of Democrats.”
“How does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?” he added in July 2021.
Vance is father to sons Ewan, 6, and Vivek, 4, and daughter Mirabel, 2, all of whom he shares with his wife, Usha.
