Committee formed to investigate deadly Bugti tribe clash in Karachi
A seven-member committee has been formed to investigate the deadly clash between two groups of the Bugti clan in Karachi's DHA area.
The committee was established following the violent incident on Thursday night, where a conflict between the groups resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including a tribal leader.
The committee, led by SSP Investigation South Abdul Rahim Shirazi, includes SSP South Sajid Amir Sadozai, SP Clifton Uzair Ahmed, DSP Investigation, SHO, SIO, and an investigative officer.
The formation of this committee was confirmed by DIG South Syed Asad Raza, who also issued the notification.
The incident occurred in the Khayaban-e-Nishat area of Defence Phase 6, where armed groups from the Bugti clan engaged in a fierce battle.
In the aftermath, police arrested Sardar Ali Haider Bugti and his employee, Qaim Ali, from a hospital.
Meanwhile, authorities are searching for 8 to 9 suspects who fled the scene.
The committee is tasked with providing regular updates to the authorities on the progress of the investigation.
They also have the authority to enlist the services of any officer necessary to aid in the inquiry.
The formation of this committee underscores the seriousness with which the authorities are treating the incident, aiming to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation.
