Karachi likely to receive thundershowers

Maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius with 65% humidity on Saturday.

The city is likely to experience strong winds and thundershowers on July 29 and 30 due to strong monsoon winds.

According to the forecast of the Early Warning Centre of the Meteorological Department, a series of powerful monsoon winds are likely to enter Sindh in the evening during the night of July 28, which may bring thunderstorms in Karachi division on July 29 and 30. Heavy rains are also expected in some areas of the city.

Moreover, there will be moderate to heavy rains with thunderstorms in rural Sindh districts of Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tandoallahyar, Matiari, Thatta, Jamshoro, Dadu and Sujawal between July 28 and 30.

Between July 29 and 30, Qamber-Shahdadkot, Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Nowshehro Feroze and Shaheed Benazirabad may witness wind and thundershowers.

Maximum temperature during the period may remain between 34 and 36 degrees.
