The Paris Olympics opening ceremony ignited controversy due to a drag performance featuring children.
This performance, part of a broader artistic display, received harsh criticism on X, formerly Twitter, for being perceived as "disgusting".

This is disgusting and repulsive beyond words, and maybe best symbolizes the decline of Europe 🤮pic.twitter.com/RF9jhm1O8C
The ceremony, which included notable artists like Lady Gaga and Aya Nakamura, initially captivated audiences with a vibrant parade of athletes from 206 nations. However, the inclusion of children in the contentious performance overshadowed the festivities.
We are absolutely disgusted to see these drag queens and half-naked gender cultists dance around little kids at the Olympics for the entire world to watch.

This agenda isn't just an American issue. It's global. And if this doesn't horrify you, then you aren't paying attention. pic.twitter.com/N6aHjmHzAi
However, the controversy extended beyond that. The performance also included a parody of The Last Supper, a depiction of Marie Antoinette's beheading, and Philippe Katerine portraying Dionysus, the God of Wine. These elements quickly became hot topics of debate on social media.

Officials from the Paris Olympics and the performers did not clarify the intentions behind these controversial performances.
