Justin Timberlake's attorney has firmly denied that the singer was intoxicated at the time of his June arrest for driving while intoxicated (DWI).

Following a court hearing on July 26, Timberlake's lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., addressed the media, asserting that the *NSYNC alum was not impaired during the incident.

The hearing took place in Sag Harbor, New York, where Timberlake faces a charge of DWI along with two citations for running a stop sign and failure to maintain his lane. Burke's motion to dismiss the case, based on alleged errors by the arresting officer, was reviewed by Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace.

However, the judge decided that Timberlake would be re-arraigned on August 2 with corrected documentation.

Timberlake, who is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in Europe, was not present in court but is expected to participate virtually in the upcoming hearing. The artist's legal team remains confident that the DWI charge will be dropped.

In a statement to reporters, Burke reiterated Timberlake's innocence. "He was not intoxicated. I'll say it again. Justin Timberlake was not intoxicated," Burke said. He further criticized the police for what he described as significant procedural errors, emphasizing that Timberlake had cooperated fully with law enforcement.

The arrest report indicated that Timberlake performed poorly on field sobriety tests and admitted to having consumed one martini.

Following his arrest, Timberlake was held overnight and later released on his own recognizance. In a statement from his attorney shortly after the arrest, Burke expressed a commitment to defending Timberlake vigorously against the charges.

Despite the legal turmoil, Timberlake has continued with his tour, performing in Kraków, Poland, on July 26. He addressed his fans during a Chicago concert on June 21, acknowledging the challenging week and expressing his gratitude for their support.

A source close to Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, revealed that the couple is focusing on their family and careers. Biel, who has been supportive throughout the ordeal, continues to attend Timberlake’s shows whenever possible.

The case remains ongoing, with the next court appearance scheduled for August 2.
