At San Diego Comic-Con's Hall H, Marvel Studios teased major reveals for their upcoming projects with a spectacular drone show. The surprise, which took place at 9:45 PM on Saturday night, was introduced by Marvel President and Producer Kevin Feige. The event began with a drone display themed around Deadpool, culminating in a dramatic reveal of Galactus and the Fantastic Four. The drones formed an image of Galactus as a towering god-like figure, followed by the iconic “4” symbol representing the Fantastic Four.
The Fantastic Four movie, scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, will feature Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Ralph Ineson is set to portray Galactus, the formidable antagonist known for consuming planets to sustain his life force. Galactus, previously featured in the 2007 film “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer,” is typically accompanied by the Silver Surfer, his herald.
Marvel’s use of dramatic stage presentations is a tradition, with memorable past events including actor Chukwudi Iwuji’s appearance as the High Evolutionary at Comic-Con 2022. During that event, Iwuji, in character, addressed the audience saying, “I’m pleased to be here,” and provocatively remarked, “Thank you for inspiring me for how vomitous you all are. I can’t wait to dissect all of you and see what I can learn.”
