Kit Harrington, Jon Snow, returns to Game of Thrones universe
Kit Harington recently revisited the Game of Thrones world for a noble cause: to conquer the Long Night once more.
Despite Jon Snow achieving this in the final season of the HBO fantasy series, Kit reprised his iconic role in a promotional video for the new Game of Thrones: Legends mobile game.
“Winter is coming,” Kit begins, as he walks through a dimly lit bar, motifs from the series flitting around the room. “I’m ready to forge my own destiny. I’ve composed my strategy, refined my tactics. I’ll solve every puzzle, overcome every challenge, to defeat the deadliest threat we’ve ever faced: the Long Night.”
As Kit talks about rallying his banners, assembling "the greatest heroes of Westeros," choosing his champions, and "lead my house to victory," he's accompanied by a woman at the bar who defeats him in a round of the game.
His opponent proudly holds up her phone screen showing her victory and starts to say the iconic line from GOT, delivered by Ygritte (played by Kit’s wife Rose Leslie), “You know nothing Jon Snow,” but Kit quickly interrupts with, “Don’t say it.”
However, after a well-timed “Dracarys” leads him to victory, Kit quips back, “I do know some things.”
The role-playing puzzle game, according to its official description, lets players “build and lead their own Westeros house, honing their tactics and skill as they strategically assemble a team of champions, equip weapons, and gear, and face formidable foes from the Game of Thrones universe.” Users can undertake quests in story mode or join Raids, competing against each other in real-time.
Developed by Zynga, the game includes characters from Game of Thrones and its spinoff series House of the Dragon, enabling users to collect champions like Rhaenyra Targaryen, Arya Stark, Drogon, The Hound, and Ser Criston Cole.
