His spokesperson confirmed to The New York Post that the transfer, citing a "myriad of health conditions" including diabetes, high blood pressure, and spinal stenosis.

This transfer marks Weinstein's second stay at Bellevue this year. He was subsequently returned to Rikers Island following media scrutiny of the arrangement.

Weinstein's health concerns arise as he awaits retrial on rape and sexual assault charges in Manhattan, with a tentative start date set for November 12th. His legal team previously expressed concerns about his health deteriorating due to the diet at Rikers Island.
