Hundreds of pro-Palestinians continue protests outside Netanyahu's hotel

Protestors project 'WANTED', 'Arrest Netanyahu' on the wall of Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC

WASHINGTON:

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in front of the Watergate Hotel to protest Israel's ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

Pro-Palestinian protestors projected "WANTED: Arrest Netanyahu" onto the wall of the hotel, directly challenging his presence in the US capital.

Police were deployed to maintain order as protesters waved Palestinian flags and used laser projections to convey their message.

The bold display came after Netanyahu's address to the US Congress earlier in the day, which sparked a wave of protests with thousands of people taking to the streets.

On Thursday, Netanyahu will meet with US President Joe Biden, who ended his presidential re-election campaign on Sunday and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him as the Democratic presidential candidate.

They will discuss developments in Gaza and progress towards a cease-fire and hostage release deal at a meeting at the White House.

Later, Netanyahu will also meet separately with Harris.

On Friday, Netanyahu is also expected to have a meeting with Republican presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump in Florida.
