Lil Baby’s business partner shot dead in Atlanta
Rapper Lil Baby's business partner, Chad Dillon, tragically passed away at 33 after being shot and killed in Atlanta.
The news of Dillon’s death was confirmed by his solicitor, Malcolm Conner, via Atlanta News First on 24 July, following the incident on 23 July.
Dillon, who was planning to open a Jamaican restaurant in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighbourhood, was driving in the area at the time of the fatal shooting and was struck multiple times. As of now, no motive has been identified, and no suspects have been named.
In 2023, Dillon and Lil Baby opened The Seafood Menu Restaurant and Takeaway in southwest Atlanta, celebrating a grand opening that highlighted Dillon’s entrepreneurial success. Lil Baby acknowledged Dillon’s passing on social media, sharing a photo of them together on his Instagram story with the caption, “Damn big buddy get ya rest,” accompanied by a dove emoji.
Before partnering with Lil Baby, Dillon founded The Boiler Seafood Atlanta, which sold over 180,000 pounds of seafood, grossing more than $8 million in sales. In 2022, Dillon discussed his business approach, emphasising the fusion of passion and profit with TravelNoire.
