Illegal hydrant mafia attacks Express News team in Karachi

An illegal hydrant mafia attacked and assaulted an Express News team in Karachi on Thursday, also harassing anchor Sana Qadir.

The incident occurred in Ayub Goth, Karachi, when the Express News programme "Grift" team arrived to expose the illegal hydrant. Upon seeing the team, mafia members became uncontrollable, taking the team hostage and assaulting them. They also harassed and threatened female anchor Sana Qadir.

Qadir reported that the mafia members surrounded their vehicle and issued death threats. The programme's producer, Arsalan Farooqui, and other team members were taken hostage and assaulted. Qadir managed to save herself by locking the car from inside.

She has called on Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and relevant authorities to take strict legal action against those responsible for the violence and to bring the culprits to justice.
