On July 23, 2024, Ava Kris Tyson, former member of YouTube star MrBeast’s team, issued a series of tweets apologising for her “unacceptable” behaviour and announcing her decision to step back from social media to “focus on my family and mental health.” This apology came amid allegations of inappropriate conduct with an underaged fan. However, her response has been met with significant criticism from the online community, including prominent influencers.
Kick streamer xQc did not hold back in expressing his disapproval of Tyson’s response. Comparing her situation to that of Dr Disrespect, who was banned from Twitch in 2020 for inappropriate messages to a minor, xQc stated, “I had this energy with the Doc, I’m gonna say it over here, as well: Copout, dogsht trash.” He added, “You know you have skeletons [in your closet]. You know it’s dogsht. You’re acting in irresponsible ways. You’re doing dumb sh*t. You work for a lot of people… you are taking a risk for the whole squad the entire time, and you’re doing it knowingly.”
