Celine Dion is reportedly in the "final stages" of arranging a comeback Las Vegas residency, according to TMZ on Wednesday.

The outlet cited multiple sources who claimed that the singer, who has been living with stiff person syndrome for years, has been negotiating with Resorts World for months to start a residency in late 2024 or early 2025. The show is not expected to run for a long duration.

“It’s basically a done deal. She’s doing it,” one source assured TMZ, while a second insider said that “she has a passion for getting back onstage, and she’s gonna do it.”

Representatives for the star did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Dion, 56, revealed her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome in December 2022, leading to an indefinite break from performing.

“I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through,” she told fans in an emotional social media video at the time.

However, she mentioned that she intended to return to performing. “All I know is singing. It’s what I’ve done all my life, and it’s what I love to do the most,” she said.

Stiff person syndrome, which affects one to two people per million, causes rigidity and painful muscle spasms throughout the body, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

By the time the five-time Grammy winner disclosed her challenging health condition, she had already postponed a Las Vegas residency due to "severe" muscle spasms in October 2021.
In May 2023, she canceled her "Courage" world tour dates to prioritize her health.
