Michael Bay, the director behind Armageddon and Transformers, is teaming up with a new collaborator on a project that's sure to raise some eyebrows. Alexey Gerasimov, a Georgian filmmaker, is best known for his bizarre and popular machinima web series Skibidi Toilet, which has gained a massive following on YouTube.

The news was revealed on an episode of the Variety podcast Strictly Business, where guest Adam Goodman, former president of Paramount Pictures, mentioned that Bay and his longtime collaborator, Jeffrey Beecroft, are working on adapting the Skibidi Toilet videos into a hybrid animated-live action film and television series. Goodman described the project as an opportunity to "professionalize the kind of back engine of this," suggesting that Bay won't be using video-game mods to create the film.

Skibidi Toilet, which has over 17 billion views on YouTube, follows a race of toilets with long-necked, bug-eyed heads popping out of them. The series has gained a massive following, particularly among younger viewers, and Bay's involvement suggests that the project may be aiming to appeal to a younger generation.

The collaboration between Bay and Gerasimov is an interesting one, as it marks a departure from Bay's typical action-packed films and suggests that he is looking to explore new creative avenues. The project's focus on storytelling and its potential to appeal to a younger audience also raises questions about the future of Hollywood and its ability to adapt to changing viewer habits.
