Billionaire Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sánchez were seen at the trendy new Frog Club with friends on Friday, where they spent $1,000 on a cheeky purchase.
The frog-themed venue, famous for drinks like the Dirty Kermit, is known for placing stickers over patrons' phones, providing celebrities with privacy.
According to their rules, taking pictures will get you thrown out, and there's also a ban on lying about your birthday and asking for free meals.
Sources tell Page Six that the couple and friends enjoyed escargot casserole and burgers, spending $1,000 on the “Chef’s Kiss Special,” which includes a kiss on the cheek from Chef Liz Johnson.
As per the source, neither Bezos nor Sánchez received the kiss. Johnson commented, “It was a delightful evening, but I don’t kiss and tell :)”
It was also reported that Bezos signed a plate before he left, leaving his mark.
The hotspot is Johnson’s first venture since her messy split from her husband Will Aghajanian, who she accused of assaulting and torturing kittens, while he accused her of trying to burn him in the kitchen.
The duo previously ran Horses in Los Angeles, which Bezos also frequented.
Johnson and Aghajanian met while working at the renowned Noma in Copenhagen and later became known for their sophisticated cuisine at Catbird Seat in Nashville and Mimi in the West Village.
The tag line for the new spot is: “Frog Club is the New Yorkiest room in New York and it will leave you wondering, what happened at 86 Bedford last night?”
