Nickelback defends ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ against critics before release

Ryan Reynolds has previously expressed his admiration for Nickelback, saying, “My god. I love those guys.”

Nickelback has voiced their support for the upcoming film "Deadpool and Wolverine," which features Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Despite the film's official release being set for this weekend, Nickelback has already stepped in to counter any anticipated criticism.

In a recent video, all four members of Nickelback, dressed in Deadpool and Wolverine masks, expressed their backing of the film.

The clip highlights their discomfort with the costumes, particularly for band members Mike Kroeger and Ryan Peake. Nickelback, known for handling criticism of their own music, took it upon themselves to defend the film and its stars, especially Reynolds.

Chad Kroeger, the lead singer, addressed potential critics, stating, "We have an important preemptive message for anyone even thinking of criticizing the film Deadpool and Wolverine, or Ryan Reynolds."

The band discussed the achievements of the Deadpool franchise and praised Reynolds, noting, "For Ryan Reynolds, well just look at this photograph - that is a beautiful Canadian man right there."

The video concludes with the band members rallying support by saying, "So yeah, let's fucking go." Reynolds later saw the video and expressed his appreciation, saying, "My god. I love those guys."
