Jennifer Aniston slams J.D. Vance's comments on childless women, including Kamala Harris
Jennifer Aniston has responded to Senator J.D. Vance's recent comments about women who have not given birth, including Vice President Kamala Harris. Vance, who is running as the Republican nominee for vice president alongside Donald Trump, made the comments during a July 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson.
In the interview, Vance said that the U.S. is being run by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too." He specifically mentioned Harris, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as examples of people who are "without children."
Aniston, who has been open about her own struggles with infertility, took to Instagram to express her outrage and disappointment at Vance's remarks. She shared a screenshot of the tweet and wrote, "All I can say is... Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option, because you are trying to take that away from her, too."
Aniston also referenced her own experiences with infertility, saying that she had tried IVF and was grateful that she didn't have to think about it anymore. She encouraged young women to make their own decisions about their bodies and lives, without being influenced by tabloid rumors or societal expectations.
