Two women injured for plucking fruits

Victims attacked with sticks, axe

PAKPATTAN:

A landowner and his son attacked two women who had passed through their agricultural land and plucked some jamun fruit.

The prime suspect was arrested by the Chakbedi police.

According to local sources, the incident took place in eh Ber Wala Koh area. The two women were going to work in the fields of a farmer when the local landlord Shah Ali, along with his son Muzammil, attacked them with sticks and an axe for passing through his agricultural land and picking some jambolan.

The women, who are aunt and niece, were subjected to violence by the attackers

Pakpattan DPO Tariq Wilayat took notice of the incident, ordering action against the perpetrators and their immediate arrest.

The Chakbedi police registered a case on the complaint of one Yaseen and arrested the main suspect, Shah Ali, while his son fled.

The police said they were interrogating he arrested suspect.

The DPO said the Pakpattan police were striving to ensure the protection and rights of women.
