KARACHI:

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has taken notice of the alleged abduction of three Pakistani youth in Myanmar and urged the relevant authorities to take measures for their recovery and return to the country.

The PPP chairman has urged the Foreign Office (FO) use diplomatic channels to locate and recover the three boys from Hyderabad, Kashif Hussain, Faraz Khan and Shahroz Khan.

Bilawal expressed his sympathy to the families of the abducted youth and assured that the PPP will raise its voice at all relevant forums for the recovery of the abductees. As per their relatives, the three young vacationers who had gone to Thailand were lured by an agent to Myanmar, where they were forced to work in a Chinese company. The families of the victims have alleged that they were kept in detention, their travel documents and mobile phones were taken away, and they were forced to sign employment contracts.

Kashif Hussain, Shehroz Khan, and Faraz Khan, who belonged to different areas of Hyderabad, including Phulleli, Balanaka, and Cloth Market, were tempted by the promise of employment in a Chinese company in Myanmar and were taken there illegally. The families of the victims have appealed to the authorities to take action to bring back the youths.

Faraz Khan’s sister and Kashif Hussain’s father, Ashiq Hussain, have said that the three friends had gone to Thailand on February 15 this year for a vacation, where they met a Pakistani who promised them employment in a Chinese company in Myanmar. They were taken to Myanmar, where they were forced to work in difficult conditions and were subjected to torture.

The families of the victims have alleged that the agent who took them to Myanmar had promised them a good salary and comfortable living conditions, but instead, they were kept in detention and forced to work against their will.
