Raoof Hasan remanded in FIA custody

A district and sessions court in Islamabad has granted a two-day physical remand of PTI Information Secretary Raoof Hasan to the FIA in connection with allegations of disseminating anti-state propaganda.

During the court proceedings on Tuesday, the FIA prosecutor requested Hasan's remand to recover devices allegedly used in the anti-state activities.

Hasan had been apprehended the previous day by Islamabad Police at the PTI's central secretariat, where he was accused of overseeing a digital media cell involved in running anti-Pakistan propaganda.
