Honey trap suspect’s remand granted

A court on Tuesday handed over a suspect, Amna Urooj, to the police on three-day physical remand in a honey trap case involving playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar.

The court sent 11 other accused to jail in judicial remand for identification parade.

The police produced the suspects before Judicial Magistrate Nabeela Amir in district courts.

The investigation officer requested the court for physical remand of Amna, saying that her custody was required for collection of evidence and investigations. He also requested the court to send the 11 other suspects to jail for an identification parade.

The court handed over Amna to the police in three-day physical remand and ordered her production upon the expiry of the period. The court also sent the other suspects to jail for an identification parade. The Sundar police had registered a case of robbery and abduction against the suspects on the complaint of Qamar.
