Tesla’s Cybertruck is set to debut in Fortnite, allowing players to digitally own the contentious and often criticised low-poly vehicle.

Epic Games announced on Monday that the Cybertruck would be available in the in-game shop starting 23rd July. This addition is likely to invite further mockery of Cybertruck owners, a popular pastime among the online community.

Reactions to the announcement have already sparked familiar jibes at the vehicle. A top comment on the Fortnite trailer reads, “First cosmetic vehicle to blow itself up 3 minutes into the match,” followed by another calling it the “First ever drivable dumpster.”

The Fortnite version of the Cybertruck is expected to differ from its real-world counterpart, excelling in off-road conditions but likely lacking bullet resistance. Cybertruck owners in Fortnite are anticipated to face some ridicule when the vehicle is released this week. Moreover, for fans preferring fewer polygons, Epic and Psyonix announced the Cybertruck's addition to Rocket League on Tuesday.
