Blake Lively shuts down divorce rumours with Ryan Reynolds: 'Haha they wish'
Blake Lively recently put an end to rumours about her marriage to Ryan Reynolds.
On Monday, July 22, the actress responded to an Instagram comment from a fan who mentioned hearing "rumours going around that" Lively and Reynolds "got divorced." The fan added that they didn't believe the rumours because the couple seemed perfect together.
Lively, 36, swiftly replied, "Haha they wish 😂."
The exchange occurred under a post featuring a professional photo of Lively and Reynolds, 47, sharing a kiss on the set of his upcoming film, Deadpool & Wolverine.
Lively's caption included a playful nod to millennial culture, writing, "Brb I’m buying milky pens to write your name on my hand @vancityreynolds."
In her post, Lively mentioned several millennial references that are expected to appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, such as Avril Lavigne's "I'm with You," Harry Potter, Frozen, Céline Dion, *NSYNC, and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
The post featured a video montage, prefaced with Lively humorously stating, "Tell me Deadpool's married to a millennial girl in real life without telling me ... "
Lively also shared the same video on her Instagram Stories, adding, "Find you a man who honours you like this boy," and referencing the "I love you" beeper code from the 1990s and early 2000s: "143 to all my Y2K girlies."
In another post, Lively highlighted the competition between her film, It Ends with Us, and Reynolds' Deadpool & Wolverine. Despite the rivalry, she expressed pride in how her husband’s film celebrates millennial culture.
