Drake trolls Kendrick Lamar with Tupac shirt during feud
Drake continues to send mixed messages. The rapper claims to have moved past his feud with Kendrick Lamar, but his actions tell a different story.
According to DJ Akademiks, Drake is returning to what fans love most about him, but he's still finding time to troll Kendrick.
Recently, Drake posted a photo of himself wearing a Tupac shirt with the phrase "Only God Can Judge Me," a clear reference to his ongoing rivalry with Lamar.
Fans of both rappers are well aware of the significance Tupac holds for them.
Drake previously used Tupac's voice to diss Lamar on the AI-assisted "Taylor Made Freestyle" and proudly purchased Tupac's personalized ring for $1 million.
Lamar, who idolizes Tupac, took these jabs personally, incorporating them into his hit song "Not Like Us" with lines like, "You think the Bay 'gon let you disrespect 'Pac, n**ga. I think that Oakland show gon' be your last stop, n**ga."
During his "Pop Out" show on Juneteenth, Lamar responded by altering the lyrics of "Euphoria" to challenge Drake directly, demanding the return of Tupac's ring in exchange for respect.
Instead of backing down, Drake doubled down on his trolling with his new shirt, echoing the grandiose sentiment of Tupac's "Only God Can Judge Me" from the album ‘All Eyez on Me.’
Drake has openly expressed his admiration for Tupac in the past.
In a 2011 interview with The Boombox, he stated, "He was somebody who was a free spirit and he did not care. He just did what he felt. I wish I could have a little more 'Pac to my persona. I’m working on it."
Despite his claims, it's clear that Drake's persona has evolved in unexpected ways over the years.
