In a consistent trend across the global Love Island franchise, contestants have consistently chosen to split rather than steal the prize fund, marking a unique bond among winners.

After a dramatic six-weeks at the Love Island villa in Fiji, Serena Page and Kordell Beckham emerged victorious in the latest season of Love Island USA.

The couple, who clinched the $100,000 cash prize, decided unanimously to divide the winnings, upholding a tradition upheld by all past winners across various international editions of the show.

Throughout the series, contestants navigate romantic entanglements and friendship bonds under the intense scrutiny of both cameras and audience votes.

Each season culminates in a pivotal moment where the winning couple faces a final decision: one envelope holds the prize money, while the other remains empty.

In a departure from some international formats, such as the UK's 2023 season, where producers eliminated the option to steal the prize, Love Island USA maintains the tradition of allowing winners to choose whether to share or keep the cash. This decision reflects the show's emphasis on love and camaraderie over competition and betrayal.

As Love Island continues to captivate audiences with its blend of romance, drama, and real-life relationships, fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming reunion special hosted by Ariana Madix, scheduled to air on Peacock.

The special promises to reunite favorite Islanders and revisit the highs and lows of the season, offering viewers a glimpse into the enduring friendships forged in the tropical heat of the Love Island villa.
