Christopher Nolan cast Harry Styles in his acting debut with the high-profile World War II film Dunkirk. However, subsequent films featuring the One Direction star reportedly saw underwhelming box office results and received mixed reviews from critics.
Christopher Nolan cast Harry Styles in his first major acting role for the World War II film Dunkirk. Despite this strong beginning, the One Direction star's later films reportedly faced challenges with both box office success and critical reviews.
On July 20, 2022, The Sun reported that Harry Styles had secured a five-film deal with Marvel Studios to portray Eros in Eternals. Previously called Starfox, Styles' character makes his first appearance in the film's post-credit scene.
At the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, MCU president Kevin Feige hinted at Starfox’s upcoming role and assured fans of substantial character development for Thanos' brother in future MCU films. However, it is still uncertain whether Starfox will appear in an Eternals sequel or have a standalone film dedicated to his backstory.
In a 2022 MTV interview, Kevin Feige noted that Marvel Studios plans to further develop the adventures of Eros and his sidekick, Pip.
“Yes. The adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for us,” said Feige.
Eros, a genetically engineered Eternal created by Arishem the Judge, was sent to Titan where he was adopted by Thanos and his brother. Despite his noble upbringing, Eros rejected Titan's values to become a rebellious space outlaw, ultimately taking on the name Starfox.
Eros brought Pip the Troll along for his adventures and later met a group of Eternals who had also fled Titan. He joined them, and together, they embarked on a quest to find other Eternals who had escaped their creator and were roaming in space.
