LAHORE:

PTI founding chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi has knocked the doors of the Lahore High Court, seeking details of fresh and pending detention orders, notices, inquiries and FIRs lodged against her along with a request to restrain the authorities from arresting her till she has access to justice by approaching the relevant courts for relief.

The petition filed through her counsel Sardar Latif Khan Khosa cited as respondents the provincial government, inspector general of police (IGP), DIG anti-corruption and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cybercrime director in Lahore.

The petitioner contended that her husband had been implicated in a large number of cases which had encompassed her as well as over 10,000 PTI leaders and workers.

Since the petitioner apprehends indignity, humiliation and disrespect through implication in other false cases, the need has arisen to invoke the constitutional jurisdiction of the court to prevent the abuse of the process of law and safeguard against the violations of fundamental rights, the petition added.
